Hips don't lie. They tell you as it is. And when they feel tight, they're usually saying you are spending too much time sitting! You are not alone, many of us out there lead largely sedentary lives, especially when you have a desk job. Spending a lot of time at home on the couch isn't helping either!
When you sit, the muscles at the front of the hip are fixed in a flexed, shortened position. Too much time like this, and you're going to start feeling really stiff and tight! Follow along with Tim in this short sequence of hip flexor stretching and get some mobility back in those hips.
Here's some tips to keep your hip flexors healthy:
* Move often - Try not to stay in one position for too long without a movement break
* Stretch it out - Use this video as your guide and go slow. The more consistent you are, the better you will feel
* Train with us - besides stretching, you may also need to work on strengthening your hip flexor muscles to feel better.
