Here is a suggested training plan leading up to race day. The pace should be relative to your running ability.   We will try to organize groups and let you know times, otherwise, runs can be done on your own. Ideally, these are done on roads, but can be done on treadmills in a pinch.   Sunday 11/2/2024 - Warm-up - 3 miles at easy pace   Tuesday 11/5/2024 - Build up - 2 miles at moderate pace   Friday 11/8/2024 - Race pace - 2 miles at fast pace   Sunday 11/10/2024 - Distance - 5 miles, moderate pace   Tuesday 11/12/2024 - Speed work - 3 x 400 m then 3 x 200m; 2 min rest between runs   Friday 11/15/2024 - Trial run #1 - 5k at the race location    Sunday 11/17/2024 - Distance - 10 k at a moderate pace   Tuesday 11/19/2024 - Speed work - 6 x 400m, rest 2 min between runs.   Friday 11/22/2024 - Trial run #2 - 5 k at the race location     Sunday 11/24/2024 - Distance run - 10 k run at a moderate pace   Tuesday 11/26/2024 - Easy run - 2 or 3 miles at an easy pace   Thursday 11/28/2024 - Race day! 5K
